Training Refugees in Entrepreneurial skills using digital devices

The project TREND aims to foster the entrepreneurial competences of refugees and people with a migration background in order to open the perspective of self-employment

The Project (English)

KulturLife is a partner organisation in the Erasmus+ project „TREND“(„Training Refugees in Entrepreneurial skills using digital devices“) in the field of adult education starting on 1st September 2017. The project aims to foster the entrepreneurial competences of refugees and people with a migration background in order to open the perspective of self-employment. For strengthening entrepreneurship and to provide essential knowledge about starting a business in Europe the partnership will develop a web application containing thematic learning modules. By involving consultants and trainers for entrepreneurial skills a community will be created providing additional non-digital training options and opening up networking opportunities.

Project’s run: After the project kick-off in Athens (Greece) in October 2017, the second transnational meeting took place in Dun Laoghaire (Ireland) in March 2018. The work on the intellectual outputs took off and first contents were presented at the "Training of the Trainers" event in Oslo (Norway) end of November 2018. The last transnational meeting in Mons (Belgium) in May 2019 focused on the user-friendliness of the app. Another "Training of the Trainers" event in December 2019 in Kiel (Germany) provided insights into practice and led to further optimisations of the intellectual outputs to best suit the target group. After the finalisation of the results and developed products, they were presented to the interested public in the course of digitally held multiplier events and a digital final conference.

Current status: After an extension until 31st December 2020, the project is now finished.
