The Project (English)

KulturLife coordinates the Erasmus+ project (PR)IDE (“Prevent Radicalisation through Identity Development”) which has started on 1st September 2017. (PR)IDE is a strategic partnership in the field of youth, which makes use of the concept of transformative learning for preventing radicalization among young refugees. The project therefore aims to empower young people to handle the experienced migration in a positive and constructive way through mutual exchange. It focuses on the importance of forging and consolidating personal identity in adolescence.

Based on results through exchange among experts, participation of young people concerned as well as fieldwork with youth groups, tools will be developed to be tested in practice. These tools will aim to facilitate a positive processing of migrational experiences.

Current Status:

After the kick-off in October 2017 at OTH in Ratisbona (Germany) and the successful group work with Youngsters, who migrated voluntary or non-voluntary into a foreign country, we visited in March 2018 our Slovenian partner with the leader of each group of Youngsters in Novo Mesto. There we put together the Agenda for our big venue (Learning Activity).

From 01.10.2018 – 05.10.2018, in close collaboration with our project partners, we held our big venue (Learning Activity) in Berlin, where we met nearly 50 youngsterns from different countries and developed further our project. The contribution of young refugees and migrants is essential to the overall success of the project. If you are interested to have further information on the venue have a look at our Instagram account: www.instagram.com/ide_erasmus/

And now, the project implementation period is about to end and all project partners are working diligently on the creation of the so-called "Intellectual Outputs". Here we process our project experiences as well as our developed concept. The last precautions for it were taken from 20.05. - 22.05.2019 in Brussels. We will soon be able to publish a handbook for youth organizations and schools, an online course and a policy paper and much more. We are looking forward to it!

In the last phase of the project, all project partners are now working hard to disseminate the project and present the project results to all interested persons, other youth organisations, schools, teachers and representatives of public authorities at the "Multiplier Events".
