Shaping the future of Europe
Das Projekt „Shine: Shaping the Future of Europe“ stärkt die gesellschaftliche und politische Teilhabe junger Menschen in Europa. Ziel ist es, Jugendorganisationen und Jugendliche mit den nötigen Werkzeugen und Fähigkeiten auszustatten, um ihre Stimmen in demokratischen Prozessen effektiv einzubringen. Partnerorganisationen aus sechs Ländern entwickeln dafür innovative Bildungsressourcen wie Podcast-Serien, Schulungstools und ein Brettspiel zu Demokratie und Bürgerbeteiligung. Schulungen, Kampagnen und internationale Konferenzen fördern den Dialog mit politischen Entscheidungsträgern und das Engagement junger Menschen auf lokaler, nationaler und europäischer Ebene.
The “Shine: Shaping the Future of Europe” project strengthens the social and political participation of young people in Europe. The aim is to equip youth organizations and young people with the tools and skills they need to make their voices heard effectively in democratic processes. Partner organizations from six countries are developing innovative educational resources such as podcast series, training tools and a board game on democracy and civic participation. Training courses, campaigns and international conferences promote dialog with political decision-makers and the involvement of young people at local, national and European level.
Das Projekt
Demokratie, Menschenrechte und Rechtsstaatlichkeit sind die Grundlagen des europäischen Projekts. In den letzten Jahren waren unsere Gesellschaften verschiedenen Herausforderungen ausgesetzt (COVID-19-Pandemie, bewaffnete Konflikte und Wirtschaftskrise). Diese Prozesse haben zu neuen europaskeptischen Spannungen, Entfremdung und der Verbreitung von Desinformation geführt, die unsere Demokratien bedrohen. Heute sind junge Menschen viel mehr Bedrohungen ausgesetzt als noch vor ein paar Jahren, sie brauchen Unterstützung, Ermutigung und die richtigen Werkzeuge, um durch ihre Stimmen und Meinungen zur Zukunft Europas voll am demokratischen Leben ihrer Gemeinschaften teilzunehmen. Das Projekt „Shine: Shaping the Future of Europe“ zielt darauf ab, Jugendorganisationen und jungen Menschen in den Partnerländern Werkzeuge, Fähigkeiten und Einstellungen zu vermitteln, um eine sinnvolle Beteiligung der Jugend und einen Dialog mit politischen Entscheidungsträgern zu gewährleisten, das bürgerschaftliche Engagement junger Menschen sicherzustellen und eine Plattform zu bieten, auf der ihre Stimmen von der lokalen Gemeinschaft, dem Nationalstaat und der europäischen Gesellschaft gehört werden. Das Gesamtziel dieses Projektes besteht darin, die Kapazität von Jugendorganisationen aufzubauen, innovative Werkzeuge und Praktiken zu nutzen, die das gesellschaftliche Engagement junger Menschen im öffentlichen Leben fördern. Das Konsortium wird die Projektziele durch die Schaffung neuer offener Ressourcen und NFIL-Tools erreichen. Die Partner aus Bulgarien, Deutschland, Rumänien, Albanien, Bosnien und Herzegowina und Montenegro werden Informationen und bewährte Praktiken aus ihren Ländern austauschen und gemeinsam Bildungsressourcen entwickeln – Podcast-Serien, Schulungs-Toolkits für Jugendarbeiter und ein Brettspiel zum Thema Demokratie und Bürgerbeteiligung für junge Menschen. Die Partner werden Aktivitäten zum Kapazitätsaufbau, lokale und internationale Schulungen, Sensibilisierungskampagnen, Multiplikatorenveranstaltungen und eine abschließende Jugendkonferenz initiieren und durchführen.
The Project (English)
Democracy, human rights and the rule of law are the fundamentals of the European project. In the last few years, our societies have undergone various challenges (the COVID-19 pandemic, armed conflicts and economic crisis). These processes have led to new Eurosceptic tensions, alienation and the spread of disinformation, which threatens our democracies. Today, young people have been exposed to many more threats than just a few years ago. They need support, encouragement and the correct tools to fully participate in the democratic life of their communities through their voices and opinions regarding the future of Europe. Shine: Shaping the Future of Europe project aims to supply youth organisations and young people in the partner countries with tools, skills and attitudes to guarantee meaningful youth participation and dialogue with policymakers, ensure civic engagement of young people and provide an arena to have their voices heard by the local community, national state and European society. The overall objective of this project is to build the capacity of youth organisations to use innovative tools and practices which foster community engagement of young people in public life. The consortium will achieve the project goals by creating new open resources and NFIL tools. The partners from Bulgaria, Germany, Romania, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro will exchange information and best practices from their countries and develop together educational resources – podcast series, training toolkit for youth workers and a board game on democracy and civic participation for young people. The partners will initiate and conduct capacity-building activities, local and international training, awareness campaigns, multiplier events and a final youth conference.
